The Mexican actress Florinda Meza, 76, spoke again about the series “Chespirito: Sem Querer Querendo”, which portrays the life and work of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, or breeder of “Chaves”.
The person responsible for bringing Dona Florindo on the program in which she intends to talk more about her life with Roberto, and, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2014, the year of his death.
“I already knew it wouldn’t be portrayed well, I already imagined it. For one reason: what sells now is controversial, they had to invent it. Currently, on the networks, on television, for something to sell, it has to be controversial”, she said during her appearance on Domingo Legal, on SBT.
“What hurts me most is not mistreating me. Do you know of a story where the stepmother is the heroine? I had to be the witch. What hurts me is that they tarnished Roberto’s image,” she added.
The series, produced by Bolaños’ children, revealed that Meza’s marriage to the comedian began through infidelity in the artist’s previous marriage – the mother of the actor’s children.
Since its release, the actress has not agreed with the content released and said that the production is taking “interviews from the past” out of context to be used inappropriately. She said after the release that “so many lies, so many reckless judgments without really knowing the facts, so much hate harms you.”
