Frankie-Rae Law († 11) complained of a sore throat on Friday, November 14. Mom Keleigh Law (33) from the English city of Braintree took him to the doctor, who told them that the reason was a virus, writes the newspaper. The boy was up until one in the morning and at first everything seemed fine. “I was sitting in the living room with my phone in my hand and he was following me, making jokes and going crazy,” the mother of two describes the fateful evening.
“But at 1:43 a.m. he was panting like something was blocked. He told me he couldn’t breathe. He was pacing because he was terrified, and for two minutes there was eerie silence.” she stated. The worried mother followed her son to the bathroom, where she saw a terrifying sight.
Frankie-Rae collapsed. “His lips were gray, his eyes were glassy, and I was shaking him to wake up,” she continued to describe the nightmare. “My mom burst into the house and started CPR on him, doing CPR for 30 minutes. She brought him back for a few seconds. His lips turned pink, he opened his eyes and some drool came out. But then he left again,” added.
The called rescuers fought for the boy’s life, but in vain. The doctors also continued resuscitation after the transfer to the hospital. “They said he wasn’t there anymore. They asked me if I wanted to be there and hold his hand when they took him off the equipment. I was sitting next to him, holding his hand and kissing him when he died,” she confided Keleigh saying she feels like a failure. He hopes to find out soon what happened to the boy. The family still has no idea what caused his death.
