Tickets for Ne-Yo’s concert in Lisbon, whose prices vary between 35 and 85 euros, will go on sale from 9am on Thursday.
Ne-Yo, winner of three Grammy awards and “one of the most memorable names in R&B”, performs on April 16th at MEO Arenaaccording to the show’s promoter, Sodade, in a statement released this Tuesday.
Ne-Yo’s career, aged 46, “skyrocketed” in 2005 with the song “So Sick”. The theme is part of the musician’s debut album, “In my own words”.
“Since then, he has built a catalog of hits that includes songs such as ‘Sexy Love’, ‘Because of You’, ‘Closer’, ‘Miss Independent’ or ‘Push Back’, hits that marked different generations and consolidated his artistic identity based on an unmistakable voice, melodic capacity and performances of great intensity”, says the promoter.
With the second album, “Because of you”, released in 2007, won his first Grammy, in the category of Best R&B Album.
The theme “Miss Independent”, which is part of “Year of the gentleman” (2008), earned him the other two Grammys, for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Vocal Performance.
The singer’s latest album, “Self Explanatory”and the eighth of his career, dates from 2022.
This year he released a new single, “Simple Things”which should be part of a new album.
Ne-Yo also composes for other artists, being responsible for songs such as “Unfaithful”, “Russian Roulette” and “Take a Bow”, by Rihanna, and “Irreplaceable”, by Beyoncé, having also created songs for Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion and Mario, among others.
