The opposition criticizes Tuesday’s chaos during the changes in the meeting program of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic. PS Chairman Michal Šimečka sees behind the transfer of several proposals the fact that the coalition cannot agree on controversial topics. SaS leader Branislav Gröhling drew attention to possible political corruption. The chairman of the KDH parliamentary club, Igor Janckulík, denied that the opposition would delay the parliamentary session. “The coalition accuses us of dragging out the debate. That whistleblowers were discussed for five days. But I must say that we did not bring the law, but the coalition brought it,” stated Janckulík, saying that the opposition must discuss the law and defend values.
Gröhling is annoyed that moving designs is chaotic. “Normally, not even a wild boar knows what we are going to discuss about this. But what’s much worse for me is that they only deal with themselves and their own blemishes, their own problems, their own quarrels,” declared Šimečka.
Deputies of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic approved the modification of the program of the current 43rd session of the Parliament. For example, they moved the proposal to remove Ferenčák from the post of chairman of the Committee of the National People’s Republic of Slovakia for European Affairs from this Tuesday to Thursday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. The date of negotiations on opposition motions for a vote of no confidence in the government and several ministers is also changing. In the so-called of the joint debate, these points are to be discussed only on December 10 at 2 p.m., not on the original date of December 3. The given changes were approved by the parliament at the proposal of the coalition.
