Vienna – On Wednesday, the Social Committee of the National Council unanimously cleared the way for a relaxation of the extensive ban on additional earnings for recipients of unemployment benefits, which will apply from 2026. This applies to people who complete longer retraining or further training on behalf of the labor market service, the parliamentary correspondence reported. However, there are currently no exceptions for artists, as requested by the Greens.
