Bartek blames Progressive Slovakia: It has been sucking state money for years

The Hlas-SD coalition party accused the strongest opposition movement Progresívne Slovakia (PS) of trying to cover up its own wrongdoings with the Petr Kmec caseamong other things, the opening of the topic of Beneš decrees. At the same time, Hlas-SD drew attention to the connection of some members of the PS leadership to the state budget.

“Peter Kmec is a person who thwarted the plans of Progressive Slovakia, and it didn’t happen just once,” said Michal Bartek, member of Hlasu-SD, at Wednesday’s press conference. According to him, PS tried to stop funding from the recovery plan, but Kmec thwarted these efforts.

“Progressive Slovakia is not a party that wants to do good just selflessly, but it is a party that has been ‘sucked’ on state money for years, was created from state money and is essentially dependent on it.” Bartek claimed. As an example, he cited Michaela Kršková and MP Ivan Štefunk in connection with the Neulogy Ventures investment fund established to support startups, as well as MPs Michal Truban, Ján Hargaš and Zora Jaurová. They were supposed to receive state funds through IT companies or from the art support fund.

“The entire Progressive Slovakia was only created as a well-thought-out hub, whose main agenda is grants, subsidies and challenges. The highest representatives of Progressive Slovakia either directly through themselves or through their family members obtained hundreds of millions of euros from the state,” added Bartek.
