Bolsonaro is currently serving a sentence in a closed regime at the Federal Police Superintendence (PF), in Brasília
Former president Jair Bolsonaro must finish serving his sentence of 27 years and three months in prison for the coup plot in November 2052. The calculation was made by the Criminal Executions Court (VEP) of the Federal District and forwarded to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the case at the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
According to the certificate of sentence to be served, the ex-president’s sentence is scheduled to end on November 4, 2052. According to VEP’s calculations, Bolsonaro will have the right to move to the semi-open prison on April 23, 2033 and to serve conditional release from March 13, 2037.
The start date of the count is August 4th of this year, the date on which Bolsonaro began serving house arrest, a period that could be deducted from his sentence.
The deadlines for regime progression may still be reduced depending on other discounts provided for by legislation, such as reading books and taking courses in prison.

Last week, the former president’s defense filed a new appeal against the conviction.
The lawyers filed the so-called infringing embargoes to try to overturn the decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes who denied another defense appeal, the embargoes for declaration, and ordered the execution of the conviction of Bolsonaro and six other defendants from core 1 of the coup plot.
