Brazilian women’s football team thrashes Portugal – 12/02/2025 – Sport

The Brazilian women’s football team closed the 2025 season with a 5-0 victory over Portugal. On the Portuguese night of Tuesday (2), at the Aveiro Municipal stadium, the team led by Arthur Elias had goals from Gabi Zanotti, Ludmila, Dudinha, Isabela and Bia Zaneratto to achieve the victory.

It was a great performance after a disappointing one last Friday (28), with a 3-1 defeat to Norway, in La Línea de la Concepción, in Spain. And a result more in line with the good work done by the national team this year.

Brazil closed the calendar with ten wins, two draws and three defeats. They won the Copa América and had important journeys, such as the triumph on April 8th over the United States, in San José – it was the first victory for the yellow-green women’s team over the North Americans in 2014 and the first in their history at their home ground.

This Tuesday, in Portugal, the team started to build the score in the first minute, with a cross from Dudinha headed by Zanotti. At 17, it was Zanotti’s turn to be the waitress, with a beautiful pass to Ludmila. At 37, Ludmila kept the relay and served Dudinha.

With 3-0, the pace dropped in the final stage, and Elias started to make changes. One of those called, Isabela, scored with a header, at 28. And, at 45, Zaneratto closed the score, taking a penalty suffered by Bruninha.
