“Calvo do Campari” denies attempted rape and talks about mutual aggression

Influencer Thiago da Cruz Schoba, known as “Calvo do Campari”, published a video on his social networks this Tuesday (2), denying and admitting that there was mutual aggression.

According to him, his girlfriend had gone from Sorocaba to Salto, where he lives, to spend the weekend together. According to his report, the two were in the room when an argument began. “We had a mutual physical attack after a very heated argument when I tried to end the relationship.”

Thiago also said that he was being attacked and that he pushed her. In the end, he recognized that he acted wrongly.

The coach admitted to having been drinking on the day of the incident and, according to him, “he went beyond the point”. I have a problem with alcohol, I shouldn’t have drunk. These are my mistakes,” he declared.

Thiago Schutz finished the video. “There was no rape and no attempted rape on my part, not today, not ever, not in the future. I guarantee that.”

After the complaint, the influencer and coach was arrested on Friday night (28), in Salto, in the interior of São Paulo.

To the police, the influencer denied having forced any type of sexual relationship with the victim and stated that, at a certain point, the woman started attacking him, mainly with scratches on his face. To defend himself, Thiago said he “kicked the victim out of bed [em que estavam] just to push her away.”

On Saturday (29), the São Paulo Court granted provisional freedom to the influencer, ordered urgent protective measures for the victim and prohibited Thiago from approaching her and her family, whether online or in person.

HAS CNN BrazilNayara Thibes, the victim’s lawyer, stated that she requested the influencer’s preventive detention, even with the release permit. “Unfortunately, this situation happened yesterday, very sad. But we will try our best to give her justice,” said Nayara.
