The telecommunications bill will even become ‘heavier’ in 2026 for customers of some operators. The three main operators are preparing to update prices next year and have already started to reveal how these changes will be applied. The increases cover several services, from Meo, Vodafone and NOS, although there are exceptions for new contracts, recent offers and promotional campaigns.
According to Notícias ao Minuto, Vodafone confirmed that it will update its tariffs in line with the Consumer Price Index. This update will not apply to customers who have recently subscribed to services such as RED All In, Yorn Chill, Net+ and offers launched during Black Friday.
For new subscriptions, re-loyalties and upgrades of business services, the increase only takes effect after six months, that is, until July 8, 2026, prices remain unchanged.
NOS will also move forward with increases next year. After, in 2025, having absorbed the effects of inflation without reflecting them in monthly fees, the company is preparing to adjust prices in some services.
This decision comes in a context in which several international operators have already announced significant revisions. In Portugal, the adjustment will be aligned with the inflation rate, although the services that will undergo changes have not yet been specified.
Evolution of telecommunications prices
Despite the outlook for 2026, the month of October 2025 saw a decline in telecommunications prices. Data released by Anacom show a reduction of 2.1% compared to the previous month.
Compared to October 2024, the drop was 3.5%. The average rate of change over the last twelve months was 1.0%, maintaining a stable evolution in mobile services and combined packages.
Who offers the lowest monthly fees
The minimum values continue to show a clear difference between operators. DIGI stands out with the lowest monthly fees in nine of the eleven types of offer analyzed. Options start at 4 euros for the stand-alone mobile telephone service, 21 euros for triple play packages and 24 euros for quadruple play.
Vodafone has the lowest value for quintuple play, at 60.10 euros, while NOS has the lowest monthly fee for mobile broadband for PC, tablet, pen or router, set at 7.99 euros.
According to , the market is preparing for a year marked by adjustments that should be felt by Portuguese families. Even after several months of declines, as Anacom data indicates, 2026 will be a year of revisions that will once again put pressure on consumers’ wallets in a sector where competitiveness continues to grow.
