Fire hits Ceasa, in the north of Rio

A fire reached, on the morning of this Wednesday (3), the Pavilion 43 of Ceasa in Rio de Janeiroin Irajá, in the north of the capital.

COR (Rio Operations Center) reported that teams from Águas do Rio, CET-Rio, Fire Department, Comlurb and Municipal Guard were called in, working in the fighting the flames and there is still no information about injuries. Firefighters were called at around 1:40 am.

Videos show the great extent of the flames during the early hours of the morning and several stores being hitin addition to trucks that were in front. One of the images shows a short circuit in a store and the fire was still starting.

There are no significant traffic restrictions on the surrounding roads at this time, but the recommendation is to avoid the area whenever possible. The fire did not reach Avenida Brasil, which is close to Ceasa.

A CNN Brazil contacted the companies that were contacted, in addition to Ceasa, and is awaiting feedback. Águas do Rio reported that it sent two water trucks to help fight the fire.
