In the game between Gil Vicente and Tondela, an unusual moment ended up marking the match. With Tondela winning 1-0 and an opposing player lying on the pitch, firefighters came in to provide assistance, bringing a stretcher. It was then that Martín Fernandez, from Gil Vicente, decided to “steal” the stretcher and run with it towards his injured colleague, in an unlikely rush that left everyone stunned.
The unusual action did not go unnoticed by the referees, and Fernandez ended up receiving a yellow card, surprising himself with the sanction for a gesture that, for many, was more curious than unsportsmanlike.
