At the end of November (November 24), movie fans were hit with sad news. At the age of 78, the Czech actress and voice actress Jorga Kotrbová, known for example as Goldilocks from the film of the same name by Vlasta Janečkova from 1973, died. She left behind three children – daughter Tamara and Júlia with Václav, whom she had with a colleague Zdenek Žák (73). Her expartner now for spoke about their marriage, which ended after 5 years.
“Our marriage was very nice, even though it didn’t work out years ago. We were a family. We had Vašík and Ilča together, and I kicked Tamarka out. Jorga was a great mother and an excellent actress. She lived for the theater, which attracted me to her at the time,” said Žák and revealed what she was like in private.
“A normal woman who worked and took care of her family. Later, she engaged in dubbing rather than theater, which she enjoyed very much. And then she lived her life on the ranch, among the animals. I understood that her acting career had given her all she could and that’s why she ended it.” he explained.
The sudden departure of Kotrbova’s ex-husband surprised him, because he was with her the day before her death. Although she had recently suffered a stroke, the actress’s condition was improving and there was no indication that she would fall asleep and never wake up again. The student regularly visited her in the hospital, and according to him, she was always happy when he came.
The marriage of Žák and Kotrbová was supposed to break up because of their strong natures, when neither of them wanted to back down. Colleagues once described their relationship as Italian, and looking back, the actor admitted many mistakes. “I was the head of the family, she wanted to be the head too. I left,” he added. As it turned out later, they both had the same desire to live in nature, together with animals. The actor now lives with his other wife on a farm full of animals near České Brod, Jorga took refuge on the farm as far as Ludvíkov pod Smrkem.
