José Gomes Ferreira challenges Sócrates: “Where does so much income come from to travel the world?”

José Gomes Ferreira once again raised doubts about José Sócrates’ lifestyle, following new information related to the case in which the former prime minister is accused. According to the Public Ministry, Sócrates spent two weeks in the United Arab Emirates, a trip that led prosecutors to admit the possibility of a risk of flight and to consider worsening coercive measures.

During the analysis carried out on SIC Notícias, José Gomes Ferreira left a question that he considers fundamental: where does the money come from that allows Sócrates to travel so frequently? The commentator recalled that the former ruler appears to maintain a standard of living higher than what would be compatible with officially known income, which is why he argues that these issues deserve further investigation.

For the Public Ministry, the case continues to demand attention, especially due to the international movements that have been attributed to the former prime minister.
