Belgian authorities and EU fraud fighters have released former EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini from police custody. No risk of escape. However, the suspicions against her and Stefano Sannino, the ex-secretary general of the EU foreign service, are not off the table. According to the prosecutor, these are serious: fraud with EU funds, conflicts of interest and breach of professional confidentiality.
