Help with higher energy prices for apartments that are rented will depend on specific circumstances next year. The owner of the apartment or the tenant may be entitled to it if he registers a temporary stay in the apartment. This was pointed out by Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (Hlas-SD) at a meeting with journalists on Wednesday.
She emphasized that the energy household, which is entitled to energy aid, will be supported by all points of consumption in the area of electricity and gas. That is, for example, several apartments. “If you rent an apartment that is owned by a person who received energy assistance for that take-off point, he probably won’t even project higher energy prices for the tenants, because he won’t even pay the higher energy prices.” Sakova explained.
Tenants who rent an apartment from a person who is not a recipient of energy aid are in a different situation. As a result, their energy costs would increase next year. However, it can be resolved within the objection process at the client’s workplace.
“If the tenants take a temporary stay in this apartment and are entitled to energy assistance, they will be assigned individually, if they meet the conditions of the energy assistance,” added the minister.
