The Ministry of Justice published this Wednesday (3) the ordinance that formalizes the dismissal of Anderson Torres and Alexandre Ramagem from their positions as Federal Police delegates. The information was released by GloboNews.
The measure complies with a determination issued by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, after the end of the deadline for new appeals in the actions in which both were convicted of participating in the 2022 coup plot.
The loss of positions is recorded in the decision that rejected the latest embargoes presented by the defenses. As the First Panel of the STF did not meet the two acquittal votes required to admit infringing embargoes, there is no longer any possibility of contestation. With this, Moraes ordered the immediate start of the sentences, all in an initially closed regime, as provided for by Brazilian criminal legislation.

The decision also affects Ramagem’s parliamentary mandate. Moraes formally informed the Chamber of Deputies so that the Board of Directors could register the loss of his mandate. The Superior Electoral Court will be notified to make a note of ineligibility, an automatic consequence of conviction by a collegial body, under the terms of the Clean Record Law.
