Never decorate the Christmas tree on these days. You’ll be unlucky for the rest of the year

Traditionally, the Christmas tree is decorated on December 24 with the whole family – but many people decorate the Christmas tree much sooner. However, it is better to skip a few days to avoid bad luck – of course, it is worth taking it with a pinch of salt, these are just superstitions, not strict guidelines.

Decorating it just before Christmas (on the morning of December 24) is supposed to bring prosperity and happiness. Traditionally, it was done with the whole family, which was also supposed to strengthen bonds. In the past, decorating the Christmas tree just before Christmas Eve was dictated by the use of mainly live trees, which lose their needles quite quickly. Nowadays, this tradition is slowly being abandoned. According to superstition, the Christmas tree can also be decorated at the beginning of December (up to St. Nicholas Day). This is to guarantee prosperity for the entire month.

A good option is also to decorate the Christmas tree between December 14 and 22. Theoretically, decorating a Christmas tree on these days can help you realize your dreams and bring good luck in your finances. Interestingly, there are no superstitions regarding decorating a Christmas tree in November – so by having such a decoration before December, you can to some extent avoid the bad luck predicted by superstition.
