This Wednesday (3), A complied with an order from the minister, from the (Supreme Federal Court), to access information from the terminals and computers of the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba, where the case was processed.
The measures are related to an investigation into accusations against the senator (-PR), a former judge responsible for decisions related to the operation.
Garcia claims to have been forced to illegally record people at Moro’s request during investigations into the case in December 2004, as part of his plea agreement.
The PF is investigating information involving processes related to Garcia himself and also referring to a series of money changers investigated both in Lava Jato and in other operations that unfolded from it.
Toffoli maintained the investigation into Garcia at the STF, contrary to the senator’s request, who argues that the facts analyzed predate his mandate.
When contacted through the consultancy, Moro did not comment. The Federal Court of Paraná said it would not comment on the matter.
In October, in a statement, Moro’s defense said that they did not have access to the investigation files, “established based on a fanciful report by Tony Garcia.”
According to the senator, there were no irregularities in the process 20 years ago. “The senator has no concerns about the STF’s broad access to the cases in which he served as a judge. These steps will only confirm that Tony Garcia’s reports are lies,” he stated.
