Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Tuesday that Russia does not want to wage war with European powers. However, if Europe wants war, Russia is ready to fight, according to him. He also accused Europe shortly before a meeting with American negotiators in Moscow of trying to sabotage negotiations on a peace plan for Ukraine. TASR informs about it based on reports from Reuters and AFP.
“We are not planning a war with Europe, but if Europe wants to and starts, we are ready to react immediately,” declared Putin. At the same time, he accused European countries of obstructing the peace efforts of US President Donald Trump.
Putin claims that European governments make such demands in connection with the American peace plan for Ukraine, which Moscow considers absolutely unacceptable. According to him, the intention of the European states is to sabotage the negotiations and subsequently blame Russia for their possible failure.
He also stated that no one excluded Europe from the talks on Ukraine and it withdrew from them on its own. The envoys of the US president, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are currently in Moscow to discuss the US peace plan for Ukraine with Putin.
