Rapporteur of the bill for those convicted by , also known as , the federal deputy (Solidariedade-SP) states that the PL parliamentarians who today make it difficult to vote on the text because they insist on trying to have two options: “vote and approve the current version of their report or be left with nothing”.
Paulinho states that he has the votes to obtain approval of the Dosimetria PL in its current version if the former president’s party colleagues (PL) support it. However, part of the bench still focuses its efforts on guiding the Amnesty PL and, consequently, undermining the processing of the text reported by the president of Solidariedade.
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) said on Monday (1st) that he does not accept a text along the lines of that proposed by Paulinho, for example.
“There is no need for dosimetry, a reduction in sentence, when we are talking about people who did not commit the crimes of which they are being accused”, he said, in an interview with the Flow podcast.
The text of the Dosimetry PL will not be voted on this week, and the legislative calendar is in its final weeks — the recess begins on December 23rd.
Paulinho says that the report will no longer undergo changes and is in its final version. The axis of the document today is the unification of the crimes of coup d’état and violent abolition of the democratic rule of law.
As a result, Bolsonaro’s sentence in the case of the coup plot, from 27 years and three months in prison, would drop to less than 20 years, and the time in a closed regime would go from 6 years and 10 months to something around 2 to 3 years.
In Paulinho’s interpretation, the approval of the text would result in the immediate release of all those involved in the 8th of January who are still behind bars.
In recent days, attempts by Bolsonaro deputies to include amendments that would alter Paulinho’s report to further reduce the former president’s sentence angered representatives from the center, according to the column.
These parliamentarians interpreted the movement as a trap that could harm them publicly if it went unnoticed and began to emphasize that the text in relation to which there is an agreement for voting and approval is Paulinho’s report, which has not yet been made public.
