The Košice hospital reports a decrease in hospitalized patients: However, the coronavirus still threatens the elderly

At the Louis Pasteur University Hospital (UNLP) in Košice, three elderly patients are hospitalized with the disease COVID-19 as of Wednesday. However, according to the hospital, their condition is not serious. “According to the number of patients, COVID-19 is already on the decline in this period,” UNLP spokeswoman Ladislava Šustová told TASR.

During November, a total of 22 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized at the UNLP Clinic of Infectology and Travel Medicine. “Since the beginning of this year, we have so far recorded eight deaths of patients whose health status worsened after being infected with covid due to age-appropriate concomitant diseases,” the spokeswoman informed. According to the hospital, these were polymorbid patients, that is, with several diseases at the same time, and at an older age.
