Who wouldn’t know her, who wouldn’t like her? Energetic singer and actress Gizka Oňovová belongs to the golden fund of television entertainment. Her throaty tones have been tearing people’s hips for decades, and in addition to dancing and smiling, Gizka also helped them with life’s difficulties.
A message appeared on the screen “I’m going, I’m solving”, which she always uttered before going to right the wrongs of the family in the popular show Svokra. Oňová has become a legend and many people would welcome her return to television. However, the whole thing has a catch, and it is so big that they could hang Jánošík’s rib on it again!
Gizka is four years away from turning eighty, and she worked on the popular reality show eleven years ago. She still sees her mother-in-law as a space where she can help others, but… “I would have to be ten years younger and only then would I be able to share my experiences again,” she told Oňová. Unfortunately, no one can fulfill this condition, not even a star like Gizka. At the same time, she would still have something to offer, because her household advice is also popular.
“It’s not just about managing the family budget, but also about being able to cook from little, yet tasty, and also about systematic work around the whole household. I learned it from my parents and it’s worked for me all my life.” added the actress and singer, who was raised by three generations and spoken to in three languages. So, in his own words, he can understand people from different angles.
Those who miss Oňová and at the same time liked, for example, the legendary show Repete, can enjoy this combination in the theater show Lace of a Smile. The three-hour show about the life of the presenter Ivan Krajíček lifts people from their chairs all over Slovakia.
“We have the experience that the audience puts their crutches next to each other and dances under the stage to hits and evergreens. The energy is unreal and people are very happy that something like this was created.” said the actor Sväťo Malachovský, who also performs with Onova in the show by director Svetozár Sprusanský. At the same time, he is her potential son-in-law and she may be his real mother-in-law in the future. He is dating Gizka’s daughter Scarlett. “I like Sväť very much. We understand each other as human beings and we are great colleagues at work. Everything is as it should be,” does not spare any praise for actor Oňová.
The star of the Comedy Theater remembers Ivan Krajíček († 57), who died of cancer in 1997, with love and respect. “We did big concerts and balls together. I remember him as the driver of our small minibus, who always arranged everything, took us away, entertained us, and finally drove us home. He was simply inexhaustible. His wife also reproached him for giving away too much, but a person with such a gift cannot function otherwise,” remarked Oňová to the greatest entertainer of the 90s, Krajíček.
