The reward, which elevates the resort of a previous recommendation for a four-star rating, arrives while the offer announces prices from 212 euros per night (applied on several days in January), an element that marks the starting point for understanding the scope of this distinction.
According to the news portal Sapo, the passage of the status of Forbes Recommended Hotelachieved in 2024, for the new category in 2025 reflects the work developed over the last year, accompanied by internal training aimed at meeting the criteria defined by inspectors of the Forbes Travel Guide.
Growing international recognition
The same source details that the process required intensive programs aimed at all employees, with the aim of adjusting daily practices to the standards considered essential for this international classification.
This evolution arises as a direct recognition of the standards of service at the unit, often described as one of the national references in the luxury segment. The distinction reinforced the hotel’s visibility in a changing global market.

Marco Cogollos, general director of Conrad Algarve, highlighted that the Forbes Travel Guide is seen by the industry as the leading authority on evaluating excellent hospitality.
In the same statement, he mentioned that the new rating level reflects ongoing efforts to ensure an experience adjusted to guest expectations. “We could not be more proud of this recognition that reflects our efforts to offer the most perfect hospitality experience to our guests,” he said.
