Coach Abel Braga took the blame for Internacional’s possible relegation in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. The commander held a press conference this Wednesday (3), after the defeat suffered by São Paulo, which complicated life in Colorado in the fight against Z4.
“I thought I was going to do more, in this game I couldn’t. It doesn’t matter, if Inter falls, it’s falling with Abel. It doesn’t matter, I have to take over. I didn’t expect this situation. I expected that I could contribute more”, said the coach after the match at Vila Belmiro, in Santos.
Next, Abel cited the work of Ramón and Emiliano Díaz, who were there before his arrival as technical command. He worked with the Argentine duo in 2023, for Vasco.
“I worked with Ramón at Vasco in 2023, as sporting director. They do a wonderful job”, he commented.
Abel Braga also spoke about his role within the Gaucho club. The coach was one of the main responsible for the achievements of the Club World Cup in 2006.
“I know what I represent. I know the pain you feel. I’m grateful to this club. To all the presidents I’ve had. Exceptional. I’m grateful for the boos I got. Don’t think I didn’t get booed. The balance (of my career at Inter) is very good”, he added.
