Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that he asked the Speaker of the Sejm, Wlodzimierz Czarzasty, to keep the first item of the parliament’s session on Friday confidential. He emphasized that this is a step given the nature of the information that concerns the security of the state. Tusk stated this on the X platform, the Warsaw news agency TASR reports.
Tusk said that during this closed meeting he will deliver an urgent information related to the security of Poland. He did not disclose the details of the content of his performance.
Prime Minister’s request for secrecy
Czarasty confirmed to the PAP agency that he had received the request from the prime minister. The Presidium of the Sejm, which will meet on Thursday at 6 p.m., has to decide on it. Czarasty declined to comment on the reasons that led to the request. “Of course, I am informed about everything, but the meeting is secret so that it can be presented in secret,” he said in this regard.
