In the penultimate round of the Brazilian Championship, Neymar played a decisive role and led Santos to an important victory over Juventude, this Wednesday (3), by 3-0. The number 10 scored the three goals of the match and removed the São Paulo team from the relegation zone.
With 44 points — two more than Vitória, in 17th place, the Baixada team reaches the final round outside the so-called Z4 and will depend solely on itself to guarantee its stay in the elite. Next Sunday (7), they will face Cruzeiro, in Vila Belmiro.
In Caxias do Sul, the net was only shaken in the second stage. Neymar opened the way to victory in the 11th minute, doubled in the 20th and, from a penalty, scored his third goal in the 28th.
Now, the star has eight goals in the championship, in which he has played just 19 matches. In his second spell at Santos, the player has dealt with successive injuries.
With his left knee injured, Neymar has been playing a role in the final rounds of Nacional to help the club avoid the second relegation in its history.
