The actor Noah Schnapp21, recreated his character’s iconic moment on Jimmy Fallon’s show Will Byers in the new season of “Stranger Things”.
The interview began with Noah and Fallon commenting on the success of the premiere of the first part of the new season, which literally. On the day of launch, the platform was unstable due to high demand. To date, the series has accumulated 60 million views and ranks first in 90 countries.
Spoiler alert: The following text contains spoilers for the fourth episode of the fifth season of “Stranger Things”.
After the revelation that Will, his character, develops superpowers and manages to unlock supernatural abilities, he starts to access a connection and Vecna using only his mind. The final scene ends with him bleeding from his nose, just like Eleven.
Jimmy Fallon, excited, started shouting: “Let’s talk about what happened! Oh my God, it was unbelievable, it was the best ending ever!” The audience reacted with lots of applause, and Noah was visibly excited. He explained how throughout the script and said that he was terrified when reading the fourth episode, as he really thought they wouldn’t win the battle against the demogorgons.
Noah commented that he didn’t take much faith when the production insisted that he read the scripts. He thought it would just be “one more season” and that his character would remain the same. However, after so much insistence, he decided to read the chapters first.
He reported that he was about to leave home for the meeting when he decided to take a look at the script while getting ready after taking a shower. At the time, he lived with his assistant. He came out of the bathroom almost naked, frantic, and said, “Brooke, Brooke, read this. Read the last page.” As soon as she finished reading, the two began to celebrate, jumping around the room and shouting, “Oh my God, you have superpowers!”
After the revelations, Noah recreated on stage the scene in which his character appears with a bloody nose. Jimmy put fake blood in his nose using a syringe, and Noah interpreted the moment with the same intensity as in the series.
He extended his arms as if activating his powers, fell to his knees and, with the camera focused on his face, let the blood flow while imitating the original scene. The audience reacted with screams and lots of applause.
