Schools for less separate offers for German language support

Vienna – For seven years, children and young people with German problems have had to spend most of their lessons in separate support classes. There was criticism from science and practice right from the start. Two current studies show once again that the model has few fans in schools: students feel excluded, school management and teachers want significantly less German support in separate groups. DER STANDARD reported on the results in advance. The federal government wants to change the system in the fall.
