The answers to a parliamentary question from the Greens about the guest patient situation show interesting developments in recent years. The data from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of hospital stays across federal states has fallen since 2014: from 262,300 to 205,000 stays in 2024. This also applies to Vienna, where 118,000 such hospital stays were counted in 2014. Ten years later there were 84,500.
