In winter, it is also worth visiting the Gorce Mountains, which are one of the most accessible mountain ranges at this time of year. From Nowy Targ, you can reach Łapsowa Polana in a half-hour walk. Next to Koliba you will meet a “tourist sheep”, one of the sculptures on the Nowy Targ sheep trail. A longer, over two-hour trip to the PTTK Turbacz Shelter from Nowy Targ is an opportunity to admire the attractions of the Gorce range.
