Special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner briefed the US president and officials after their “thorough, productive meeting” with the Russian president on Tuesday in Moscow, a White House official told international news agencies.
“The United States and Russia engaged in a thorough, productive meeting. Special envoy Witkoff and Mr. Kushner then briefed the president (Trump) and the Ukrainians,” the source said.
No meeting has taken place, but discussions continue
It is noted that, despite the various leaks of the previous days, there was no meeting between the American negotiators and the Ukrainian side after the talks in the Kremlin, as they had been going on for days.
Of course, as it became known from Kiev, in the next period it is expected that the Ukrainian negotiating team will go to the USA again in order to have specific discussions about what was said in Moscow behind closed doors and “confidentially” as emphasized by the Russian side.
