VIDEO Slafkovský scored the ninth goal of the season: Regenda also scored in the second game for San Jose

Slovak hockey forward Pavol Regenda also scored in his second game in the San Jose jersey. However, in the NHL night game, he only corrected the big loss of the “sharks” against Washington 1:7. The defender of the guests, Martin Fehérváry, was not included in the Canadian scoring.

Regenda was given another opportunity by coach Ryan Warsofsky in the power play. In the previous match against Utah, he presented himself with a goal from in front of the goal area and scored from a similar position this time as well. In the 53rd minute, he found himself with a numerical advantage in front of goalkeeper Charlie Lindgren, who was beaten by a fine shot by Dmitri Orlov, who briefly enjoyed his first goal in the San Jose jersey in vain.

However, Regend’s goal only corrected the Sharks’ heavy loss. The Californians lost on home ice for the first time after three wins. Washington dominated the game and won its sixth straight. Young forward Ryan Leonard contributed four Canadian points to the visitors’ triumph, veteran Alexander Ovechkin scored two goals. Regenda played exactly 12:54 minutes, during which he shot at the goal once and added two negative points to his statistics. Fehérváry played almost 20 minutes. He presented himself with two blocked shots and one hit.

Striker Juraj Slafkovský from Montreal scored his ninth goal of the current season. He contributed to the Canadiens’ 3-2 overtime victory over Winnipeg. New Jersey defender Šimon Nemec played over 22 minutes against Dallas and was the team’s busiest player, but his team lost 0:3 at home.

Slafkovský scored in the 30th minute when he finished off an effective power play after assists from Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. The latter quickly passed the puck to him from behind the guests’ goal and Slafkovský beat Eric Comrie from close range. It was the 6th power-play goal for him in the ongoing season, equaling his maximum from the 2023/2024 season. Thanks to this, the Canadiens tied the game at 1:1 and later tied it at 2:2, while Slafkovský was on the ice for both conceded goals.

He played 20:06 minutes in the match and added three shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots to his statistics. He scored in the fourth match in a row and has a record of 3+3 in the past six duels. After 26 games in the season, he has 15 points (9+6). The Canadiens’ triumph was decided by Caufield, who was the only one to score in separate runs and scored in the ninth game in a row. Montreal won after two losses and achieved the fourth triumph from the previous six games. Winnipeg continues to struggle and has won just once in the past seven games.

The German was New Jersey’s busiest player when he spent 22:37 on the ice against Dallas. During them, he presented himself with one shot, one hit and two turnovers. The Devils lost their third straight game, all on home ice.
