ZoomHoldings buys CIEL IT, an ERP software company, and aims for international expansion

ZoomHolding, an ecosystem of technology companies with revenue of R$520 million in 2024, from CIEL IT, a company specializing in the Odoo ERP solution. With the move, the company enters the software segment and opens a vertical dedicated to automation, data and operational efficiency in a strategic bet that involves international expansion.

ERP tools automate various company processes, from finance to HR. “Joining ZoomHolding is the opportunity for us to take ERP Odoo to a new level in Brazil. We now have the structure, governance and capacity to scale to deliver more robust projects, connecting cutting-edge software, data and infrastructure”, says Rafael Petrella, co-founder of CIEL IT.

Founded in Alphaville (SP), ZoomHolding has technology that brings together industry, hardware, infrastructure, retail and, now, enters the software sector. The acquisition expands the company’s offering in the B2B market, selling to other companies, and the creation of the new unit accelerates the internal digitalization of the holding itself by adopting ERP in its operations.

“With CIEL IT, we take our thesis of ‘structure that empowers’ to software: standardized processes, reliable data and automation that unlock performance — both in-house and for customers. It is the next step in our high-performance agenda with governance”, says Nilton Júnior, founder and CEO of the holding company.

The acquisition also coincides with ZoomHolding’s international expansion strategy, whose main fronts are in Latin America, driven by the advantages of Mercosur and the complementarity of markets; Asia, where the holding already maintains a solid relationship with Chinese suppliers and is one of the partners of the Chinese giant Huawei; and the USA and Europe, regions in which CIEL IT already operates and in which the group must intensify its presence.

“Our vision is to consolidate the holding’s services, structure each company to scale and move into new markets. Furthermore, Zoomholding begins a new chapter, in which software and automation begin to play a central role in the evolution of its business and the impact delivered to the market”, concludes Nilton.

In 2024, when it reached revenue of R$520 million, ZoomHoldings recorded 100% growth. The transaction for the purchase of CIEL IT has already been completed from a corporate perspective and remains in the final stage of regulatory formalization. The current team will be maintained, and the expansion plan foresees growth in the operation over the next cycles.
