The coach of the Brazilian team, Carlo Ancelotti, classified Brazil’s group in the 2026 World Cup as “very difficult”. In group C, the Canarian team will face Morocco, Haiti and Scotland as opponents.
For the Brazilian commander, the biggest difficulty will be in the debut, when the rival will be the Moroccan team, fourth placed in the 2022 World Cup, in the best result in the history of an African team.
“It’s a very difficult group. Morocco had a very good last World Cup, Scotland has a very solid team. We will need to do everything well to finish in first place,” Ancelotti told SporTV.
Despite highlighting the strength of the opponents, the coach stated that Brazil needs to think about finishing the first phase with three victories.
“We have to think about winning all three games. Morocco is the first opponent and, in my opinion, the most difficult in the group. We need to go in confident.”
Before the World Cup, Brazil will have two FIFA dates in March, when they will play friendlies against France and Croatia. According to the commander, the squad list for these duels will be very close to the squad for the World Cup.
“The March list will be more or less the list that will play in the World Cup,” he said.
