The senator (-RJ) stated, this Friday (5), that his father, the former president (PL), chose him as his political group’s candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026.
“It is with great responsibility that I confirm the decision of Brazil’s greatest political and moral leader, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, to give me the mission of continuing our nation’s project”, wrote the senator on social media.
Flávio told allies and the governor of , (Republicans), that he was chosen by the former president.

The senator traveled to São Paulo this Thursday (4) to inform Bolsonaro’s decision to the governor of São Paulo, according to reports from four people.
