This Friday (5), the ministerdo scheduled the trial of the case for February 24th and 25th, 2026 in the First Panel of the Court.
The process, reported by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, is ready for analysis after the conclusion of the investigation phase and the presentation of final arguments by the Public Ministry, the prosecution and defense departments.
The request for the trial to be scheduled was made by Moraes this Thursday (4), in the same week that the STF began the testimonies of the five arrested defendants who respond to the criminal action.
The defendants for their alleged participation in the crime are the counselor of the Court of Auditors of Rio de Janeiro (TCE-RJ) Domingos Brazão, the former federal deputy Chiquinho Brazão, Domingos’ brother, the former head of the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro Rivaldo Barbosa, the Major of the Military Police Ronald Alves de Paula and the former military police officer Robson Calixto, Domingos’ advisor. Everyone is in pre-trial detention.
