The Minister of the General Secretariat, announced this Thursday (4) the creation of the working group to discuss the demands of workers via the application. According to him, the objective is that the proposal, which is being processed in Congress, can be approved and sanctioned before the electoral period.
“We are going to hold the meetings as soon as possible to try to close this group with some consolidated consensus between the end of January and the beginning of February”, said Boulos.
“Our perspective with the participation, including of the parliamentarians who are leading this in the working group itself, is that the group’s results will be incorporated as amendments to the project throughout the process, both in the Chamber and the Senate, and that we can have a concentrated effort to approve it in both houses and guarantee sanction by the president between March and April, before, of course, entering the electoral period.
This is the second working group created to address the issue. Now, under Boulos’ command, the General Secretariat signed the ordinance that creates the new GT, working together with the Ministry of Labor to address the agenda — one of Lula’s campaign promises in 2022.
In the announcement made at Planalto, representatives of the category spoke about the demands after the minister’s introduction, in which they recalled the PT member’s promise and asked for progress on the topic.
Today, the regulation of work by application is blocked in the Chamber, under the rapporteur of federal deputy Augusto Coutinho (Republicanos-PE).
“We are going to call a first meeting of the working group later this year. The report should be presented next week,” said Boulos.
According to the minister, important points for the category have already been raised and discussed with rapporteur Augusto Coutinho, and that the issues should be incorporated into the final text.
