It’s citrus season right now and we’re eating them all the time, throwing away the peels. Meanwhile, they can be used cosmetically. To prepare the scrub, you need orange peel, sugar and olive oil. Additionally, you can enrich the mixture with coconut flakes or ground coffee. If you have problems with blackheads, a little cinnamon will help. Here is a step-by-step recipe for orange peel peeling:

Ingredients:

  • grated zest of one orange;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • a spoon of coconut flakes or coffee;
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • optional: half a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly until everything resembles wet sand. And that’s practically all. You have just made a natural scrub using kitchen ingredients, all in accordance with zero waste principles.

You can adjust the composition of orange peel peeling to the needs of your skin. Orange peel contains vitamin C, flavonoids and natural essential oils. These ingredients act as a brightening and refreshing “treatment” for the skin. If you have problems with cellulite, add a spoonful of ground coffee to the scrub. Caffeine will perfectly cope with calluses. You can use coffee grounds for this, the effect will be similar, although less aromatic. Coffee, like sugar, will also exfoliate the epidermis.

When your skin is too dry, reach for coconut flakesthat contain natural fatty acids. Additionally, they will nourish the epidermis and also have an abrasive effect. However, if you have problems with acne, add half a teaspoon of cinnamon to the scrub. This product, in addition to its amazing smell, also has anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.

Use homemade orange peel peeling on your hands, feet and entire body. It is too coarse-grained for the face, especially if you have problems with vascular skin. It is best to use it in the evening, during a bath or shower. Soak your skin, take some peeling and rub it into the skin of your entire body in circular motions. For the treatment to bring the desired effect, it should last 10-15 minutes.

After peeling, rinse your entire body thoroughly. The skin may be slightly red, but don’t worry, everything will be back to normal by the morning. After the treatment, wipe your skin and apply your favorite lotion or cream. On heated skin, cleansed of dead skin, it will work better than usual and penetrate deeper.
