NATO stops hinting: “If Russia tries to create problems for us, perhaps there are ways to create problems for them too”

Russia sets its sights on a founding country of NATO and it reinforces its border defenses

Over the last few months, has tried to destabilize NATO carrying out actions such as drone and balloon raids in the airspace of different European countries or even the alleged sabotage through the placement of two explosives on a railway line in Poland.

Until now, the Atlantic Alliance had chosen not to further increase tension with the country presided over by and not give great importance to those hostile movements.

However, has started to spin in the last few days to send much stronger messages to Russia. The objective of this change in strategy is for Moscow to stop these hybrid war actions against the Atlantic Alliance.

An example of this are the words of Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe, American General Alexus Grynkewichwho, echoing statements by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragon (president of the NATO Military Committee), has warned that “If Russia is trying to create problems for us, then maybe there are ways to create problems for them too.”

In this sense, Grynkewich has pointed out that “We are thinking about being proactivethat is the word I would use”, although he stressed that he prefers “not to go into details about how we could create those problems.”

The supreme commander of the Allied Forces in Europe has warned the population that “These hybrid threats are a real problem and i really believe that We can expect more situations of this type.”

Regarding the authorship of these sabotages and air raids, Alexus Grynkewich has expressed that “We know that Russia is behind part of all thismaybe not all of it, but certainly part of it. And the public should know it.”

Even more direct has been the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallaswho has recently stated that “Russia is committing state terrorism.”
