A fire broke out that caused passengers to be removed from a plane at Guarulhos International Airport, on Thursday night (4).
The case occurred on Latam Airlines flight LA3418, which was destined for Porto Alegre. The smoke started in equipment responsible for loading the plane’s cargo, which triggered safety protocols.
The crew members were removed from the aircraft both via the boarding bridge (finger) and the emergency slide (escape slide), with the support of airport employees.
In a statement, Latam reported that there were no injuries and that the situation was quickly controlled.
A CNN Brazil contacted Guarulhos Airport, but has not yet received a response.
