This Friday (5), the Brazilian team announced its selection for 2026. After defining Group C with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland, the team can begin to imagine possible crossovers in the knockout stages, which could put the team up against European powers right at the start of the knockout stages.

First knockout challenges

If Brazil confirms its leadership of its bracket, it will face the runner-up of Group F, made up of the Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia, in the round of 16 stage. The match is scheduled for June 29, in Houston. If they come in second place, the opponent will be the leader of this same group, in a game scheduled for Monterrey, in .

In the round of 16 (July 5), the scenario becomes more challenging. If it advances as leader, Brazil will meet the winner of the duel between the vice-leaders of Groups E and I. This puts teams like Germany and France on the radar, as well as Ecuador and Norway.

In the quarterfinals, projections indicate a strong confrontation. If Brazil and England win their groups and overcome the initial stages, they will face each other on July 11th, in Miami.

A classic against A is possible in the semi-finals, as long as both teams finish the group stage in the same position (both first or both second). If the campaigns are opposite in the first phase, the South American duel can only take place in the final.

Due to the blocking by ranking, France or Spain will only cross Brazil’s path in a possible title dispute, if they confirm their leadership in the initial phase.

Initial logistics

Before the knockout stage, Brazil will make its base on the east coast of the United States, contrary to the technical committee’s preference for the west coast. The first phase games will take place on June 13, 19 and 24, with venues ranging from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Miami.
