“If current trends continue, the continent [Europa] it will be unrecognizable within 20 years or less”, reads a document on national security cited by Trump, which defends the “restoration of supremacy” of the USA in Latin America.
The North American Administration, led by President Donald Trump, warns of the danger of “civilizational extinction” in Europe, if “current trends” continue, in a strategic document on national security of the United States of America (USA), released this Friday.
“If current trends continue, the continent [Europa] will be unrecognizable within 20 years or less”, reads the 33-page document, analyzed by the French news agency AFP, which defends the “restoration of supremacy” of the USA in Latin America.
The text argues that “the era of massive migration must end” and that “border security is the main element of national security [norte-americana]”.
“We must protect our country from invasions, not only from uncontrolled immigration, but also from cross-border threats such as terrorism, drugs, espionage and human trafficking,” said the White House.
The aforementioned US strategy announces a “readjustment” of its military presence in the world “to respond to emerging threats” on that continent and a “movement away from ‘theaters’ [de operações] whose relative importance to American national security has diminished in recent years or decades.”
“We have to encourage these countries [Japão e Coreia do Sul] to increase its investments in Defense, with an emphasis on the capabilities necessary to dissuade enemies” from attacking Taiwan, reads the text published by Washington officials.
