The president of the government proceeded a little earlier, making use of his relevant constitutional powers. Based on the information from the Presidency of Cyprus, there are changes in several positions of the Council of Ministers, but also in other institutional roles.
More specifically, according to what was announced:
- Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry: The leadership is assumed by Michalis Damianos, who moves from the Ministry of Health. Giorgos Papanastasiou leaves this position.
- Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance: Marinos Mousiouttas is appointed Minister, in place of Yiannis Panagiotou.
- Ministry of Justice and Public Order: The new minister is Konstantinos Fitiris. The previous minister, Marios Hartsiotis, is moving to the position of Presidency Commissioner.
- Ministry of Health: Its leadership is assumed by Neophytos Charalambidis, with Michalis Damianos being transferred to the Ministry of Energy.
- Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare: Clea Hadjistefanou Papaellina is appointed Deputy Minister, replacing Marilena Evangelou.
- Commissioner of the Presidency: Marios Hartsiotis is appointed to the position, while Anna Aristotelous is removed.
The official swearing-in ceremony of the new members of the government is scheduled for Monday, December 8, 2025.
