Lula’s disapproval goes from 47% to 39% in the range of new IR – 12/06/2025 – Power

The president () continues to have difficulty obtaining a good rating in groups such as evangelicals and people with incomes of 5 to 10 minimum wages, shows the most recent survey.

On the other hand, in the range of 2 to 5 minimum wages, the target of the recent expansion of the Income Tax exemption range, the proportion of those who consider the government to be bad or terrible went from 47% to 39%, within the limit of the margin of error of four points for the segment.

Datafolha interviewed 2,002 people, aged 16 or over, in 113 municipalities, from Tuesday (2) to Thursday (4). The margin of error for the general survey data is 2 percentage points, plus or minus.

GENDER

Among men, 32% consider the government to be excellent or good, and 39% consider it bad or terrible. Another 28% said they thought the PT government was regular.

The lowest negative rating for the segment was in June 2023 (29%). In September of the same year, Lula reached a positive rating of 38%.

33% of women rate the government well, against 34% as bad or terrible. In the previous round of research, rejection was 35% and approval was 34%.

The margin of error for both male and female voters is plus or minus three percentage points.

RELIGION

Among Catholics, 40% consider Lula’s government to be excellent or good, the same rate as in the previous round of Datafolha. Disapproval also remains stable, now at 31%. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.

Evangelicals, on the other hand, maintain a trend of higher disapproval rates, at 49%. Those who evaluate the government positively are 21%.

Considering the margin of error of 4 percentage points for the segment, the scenario is also stable compared to the previous period.

INCOME

As for income, 36% of people earning up to two minimum wages approve of the PT member, compared to 31% who disapprove. The margin of error for the group is 3 percentage points.

The segment already gave approval, in October 2024, of 46% to the PT member in the third term, an index that suffered a sharp drop in February 2025 (29%) and then rose again to 39%, measured in September.

The proportion of those who consider the government to be excellent or good goes to 29% in the case of those who earn two to five minimum wages.

In this range, the number of those who consider the government to be bad or terrible fell from 47% in September to 39%. The margin of error is 4 percentage points.

The highest rejection rate in the segments divided by income is among those who receive more than 5 and up to ten salaries. In this group, 53% think the government is bad or terrible; 24%, excellent or good. The margin of error in the segment is 7 percentage points.

Already 40% of those who earn more than ten minimum wages evaluate the government poorly. 27% evaluate it positively, the same value as the previous survey. The margin of error is 11 percentage points.

ETHNIC-RACIAL CRITERIA

Among white people, government approval also demonstrates a stable scenario, with 27%.

Among mixed race people, the rate went from 37% to 33%. Among black people, 38% consider the government to be excellent or good. In the previous round, it was 32%.

The highest rejection in this group is among white people (45%). The margin of error among whites is 4 points, among browns, 3 points, and among blacks, 5 points.

REGION

As for the regions of Brazil, the biggest rejection is in the South, with 45%. The lowest is in the Northeast, with 24%. The Central-West and North have a rejection rate of 40%, the value is the same for the Southeast. In research carried out by region, margins of error vary from 3 to 6 percentage points.
