The Civil and Investigation Section of the Court of Instance number 4 of Vera, in Almería, has agreed this Saturday to the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail, of the mother of the four-year-old boy allegedly murdered last Wednesday in the Almeria town of Garrucha, as well as for her romantic partner. Both people were arrested shortly after the Civil Guard found the body on a beach in the town of Garrucha. Both are being investigated for a crime of murder and another of habitual abuse.
The lifeless body of the little boy was found in a rocky area of the Almeria coast near the limits between the municipalities of Garrucha and Mojácar last Wednesday, around 11:30 p.m. Her family had reported her missing a few hours earlier after the mother sent them strange messages. Through social networks, they had asked for citizen collaboration to locate him, but they had also called the 112 Andalusia Emergency service. This notice served to deploy a search device in which the Garrucha Local Police, Civil Protection and the . The first objective was to comb the local beaches, where the mother had supposedly spent the afternoon with her son. Both were then left in police stations. The body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Almería, where an autopsy was performed to determine the causes of the child’s death. Preliminary results revealed that “signs of physical and sexual violence” had been found. During those hours it was also learned, thanks to the information provided by the (TSJA), that the arrested man, the mother’s romantic partner, has a restraining order in force against both her and her son. The measure had been agreed on October 20 by the Civil and Investigation Section of the Court of Instance number 1 of Vera, competent in Violence against Women.
