Six EU countries have written a letter calling for the ban on internal combustion engines to be relaxed

EU-wide/Brussels – Six EU states have called on the EU Commission to weaken the ban on internal combustion engines planned for 2035. The countries called on the Commission to allow the sale of hybrid vehicles or vehicles powered by other existing or future technologies even after 2035. These technologies “could contribute to the goal of reducing emissions,” said a joint letter seen by Reuters on Friday.
