Recipe for a brine bath for towels

In Greece, I learned a way to prevent fabrics from stiffening and turning yellow. Since I started using this method regularly, my towels are perfectly white and soft. All you need to do is put all the white towels in the bathtub once a month (this method also works for kitchen towels and white cloths), pour warm water to get everything wet and add 4 tablespoons of table salt and 1 package of baking soda. Leave it for several hours or even overnight. The next day, wash the towels as usual.

Table salt perfectly protects colors from fading and helps remove difficult dirt. Refreshes fabrics and makes them look like new. Baking soda is a natural bleach that prevents fabrics from yellowing. Regularly soaking towels in baking soda will make the fabric fibers soft again and will not stiffen. Baking soda is also great at eliminating unpleasant odors, including musty odors.
