There is no shortage of tricks passed down from generation to generation – most of them related to cooking. Many of us have probably learned a few family secrets for perfect dishes. However, grandmothers also knew a lot of beauty tips, one of them allows you to increase the durability of perfumes.
Perfume is usually applied to the skin – many people also like to spray it on their clothes. It is better not to apply them to the hair unless it is designed for this purpose, otherwise it may dry out the strands. You can spray your favorite scent on your wrists, neck, earlobes or décolletage. It is best to hold the bottle at a distance of approximately 15 cm from the skin.
It is important not to rub the areas where perfume has been applied e.g. wrists – especially during the first few minutes. Rubbing destroys the molecules responsible for the scent, making the scent less long-lasting.

It is a proven method that many grandmothers have heard about the most ordinary Vaseline. It is worth applying perfume to clean and moisturized skin, most people use lotions, but a few decades ago only Vaseline was used. This product leaves a slippery layer on the skin, thanks to which the scent lasts much longer. Rub a small amount of Vaseline into the application areas, e.g. wrists, and then use your favorite perfume.
Vaseline has a strongly moisturizing effect – people with skin prone to dryness, in addition to the increased durability of the fragrance, may also feel that the area of application is softer and smoother. Due to the alcohol content in perfumes, their long-term use in one place (without moisturizing) may cause the skin to dry out. e.g. behind the ears or on the wrists.
