Attending kindergarten has an increasing influence on later reading skills


Vienna – Attending a kindergarten significantly influences later reading skills in adulthood – and the differences in skills between those who attended a preschool educational institution and those who did not are increasing. This is shown by the recently presented detailed reports on the OECD PIAAC survey, often referred to as “adult PISA”. The length of time you attend kindergarten also plays a role in later reading skills.
